In this bold, sexy, and vulnerable story, watch how one woman tackles topics that are often unseen onstage such as sexual health and unconventional relationship styles like polyamory and swinging. The show features a variety of music genres including jazz, pop, musical theater parodies, and original songs, so there is music for everyone. |

Brooke had a wonderful time playing Mrs. Carlotti (the teacher) and Trina (one of the students) in the Children's Theatre of Charlotte's production of The Invisible Boy. This play is based on the children's book by Trudy Ludwig, was adapted for the stage by Christopher Parks, composed by Josh Totora, and is directed by Adam Burke. It is such a beautiful and meaningful story about kindness.

Brooke recently played the classic, iconic role of Mr. Darcy in Davidson Community Players' production of Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley alongside an all-female/non-binary cast directed by Steve Kaliski.
About: Evoking the history of Jane Austen, the romantic sizzle of Bridgerton, and the cozy comforts of a yuletide special, the intoxicating Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley will sweep you off your feet. A “sequel” to Pride and Prejudice set two years after the novel ends, Pemberley continues the story, only this time with bookish middle-sister Mary as its unlikely heroine. Mary is growing tired of her role as dutiful middle sister in the face of her siblings’ romantic escapades. When the family gathers for Christmas at Pemberley (Mr. Darcy's estate), an unexpected guest sparks Mary’s hopes for independence, an intellectual match, and possibly even love. |

Brooke was recently the co-writer and co-director of this original play created from real Virginian's interviews about being scammed. She and Susanna Rinehart, another performance faculty member at Virginia Tech, co-directed this piece with an all star cast made up of VA Tech undergraduate students and faculty. She also performed in the show as well. It toured locally throughout Virginia to elder care facilities and played on Virginia Tech's campus.
This project is sponsored by an Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology major grant, along with the Center for Peace Studies and Violence Prevention and the Center for Gerontology. |
