We read 8 plays over two days to packed houses at Hendershot's Coffee Bar. I can't wait to see what these writers create next. This is a play about revolutionizing the body, mind, and spirit in a profound way. Mature Audiences Only.
Directed by Elise Robinson. Revolt runs October 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 & 14, 2018 in the Cellar Theatre of UGA's Fine Arts Building.

During Philly's latest Greater Philadelphia Annual Auditions (GPAAs), I had the pleasure of assisting the artistic director of the Broadway Theatre of Pitman (BToP) during the auditions. It was a valuable experience on the other side of the table as well as a master class in auditioning. I look forward to assisting in future casting opportunities. Thanks BToP!

​Last night, I had the pleasure of emceeing Haddonfield Plays & Players' Disney Cabaret as Belle from Beauty & the Beast. It was a magical experience!

Even though Micky Mouse didn't want to let Belle sing, Belle's voice was taken away by evil Ursula at the end of Act 1, and then with the help of Tinker Bell she got her voice back in Act 2, she eventually had her chance to shine through her musical parody version of Gaston.  What a Disney adventure!

Brooke set out on a mission this past year to expand her artistic tool belt, so she's excited to learn about the art of devised theatre from Philly's incredibly talented teaching artists. The teacher-creators include Quinn Bauriedel, Emmanuelle Delpech, Sarah Gardner, and Tony Bolante.

The workshop will culminate in an open showing of short works created over the course of the program on January 13th, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at The Pig Iron Theatre located at  1417 North 2nd Street.  Let Brooke know if you would like to attend!

The Philly Improv Theatre is hosting its 4th annual Black Friday Comedy Marathon!

When? November 24th-26th, 2017

What is it, you ask? "The BFCM is 40 straight hours of Standup, Sketch and Improv at the Philly Improv Theatre in the beautiful Rittenhouse section of Downtown Philadelphia."
Brooke will be debuting her solo comedy show called Oz Rewritten: Musical Parodies by Brooke McCarthy on Saturday, November 25th at 10:00 p.m. on the mainstage!

"Broadway songs and politics, an unlikely combination, merge together in this provocative musical performance. Brooke McCarthy will bring you on an unexpected musical ride twisting and turning, belting and screlting, crescendo-ing and decrescendo-ing through her interpretations and impersonations of our current political climate."
If you want to see more of Brooke, she’s also appearing as an actor in two other BFCM sketch shows!
  • On Friday, November 24th, her sketch comedy team Fezziwig (PHIT's latest house team) performs at 10:00 p.m. on the second stage.
  • On Saturday, November 25th, Brooke can be seen with the sketch group Patric Writes Sketches at 4:50 p.m. on the second stage
